NO CRUISING: Queer Yoga

Yoga instructor Grant Saunders leads a yin and yang class exploring the spectrum of gender within our energetic bodies.

Make sure to notify the instructor about any accessibility needs so they can be mindful of them.

Queer Yoga is part of our NO CRUISING program, at NAVEL from May 16–18. A portion of this program’s proceeds will be donated to the California Coalition for Women Prisoners’s #MeTooBehindBars initiative.

Grant Saunders is an artist, yoga and meditation teacher based in Los Angeles. You can often find him tending plants at The Sill Plant Store and teaching yoga at Hyperslow. At 6 feet, 9 inches tall, Grant found his way to yoga in 2012 after years of feeling anxious, depressed and uncomfortable in his body. His style is about finding freedom and celebrating the uniqueness of our bodies in their many shapes, sizes and complexities. He’s interested in using western knowledge of the body with respect for the eastern tradition of yoga and strongly believes in the power of ritual to observe the mind and study the “self”.
