I want to escape the desire to escape and enter a reality so visceral and sensorial I don’t think. I want the feeling of newness and change and revelation. I want to be swallowed by a feeling.

SWALLOW intends to equip Los Angeles with a reliable and accessible center for creativity and nightlife. Designed by and with the community, the architecture of SWALLOW mimics the contraction and expansion of control and freedom. SWALLOW is designed by Alison Veit, an artist and designer based in Los Angeles and Noemi Polo, founder of Amore Agency, an architecture and creative direction studio producing installations, products and publications.

SWALLOW, hosted by NAVEL, will be the second iteration of the concept club and will feature a glowing bar serving tailored “Swallow” cocktails with Yola Mezcal, a dance floor populated with curving transparent walls, a red UV sauna filled with sand with a custom scent by Julianne Lee, and lastly, a discreet lounge for play featuring a soundscape performed LIVE by SOPHIE. The evening will feature DJ’s Mai, Buckmonster, Heart Pressure & Goodsafeperson.

$15 early bird tickets will be available while supplies last. $20 presale tickets will be available through September 6, after which tickets will be $25, including at the door.

SWALLOW CONCEPT

Ground Level
Swallow (night): a ground level bar with the energy of a mouth. Passage through the orifice brings you to a warm, hollow space with a mercurial house drink that changes nightly.
Swallow (day): a coffee shop and cafe.

Level Two
Spiral (night): a dance club on the second floor with several balconies, a spinning dance floor, and elastic latex walls.
Spiral (day): a gym and dance studio.

Top Floor
Swell (night): a lounge on the top story with views of the LA skyline. Alcoves and booths offer space for intimacy and exploration. Small stages and lounge chairs populate the room.
Swell (day): a workspace and library.

Basement
Sub (night/day): a steam room and pool in the basement open to all bodies, all hours.
